The December meeting of the Fostoria Coin Club was called to order on December 16th, 2024, at 7:30pm by President Brandeberry, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 25 members plus numerous family and friends present for the annual club Christmas party.
There was no one on the sick list.
The minutes and treasury report were reviewed and approved as read.
OLD BUSINESS:
There are still Red Books available. See Vini if interested in purchasing.
Chuck spoke to Rex James about potential appraisals and membership in 2025.
Vic received an email from Coin World that explained the problem with their missing issues as being due to conflict between Amos Media and their printing partner. All should be resolved and subscribers credited for missing issues.
SHOW BUSINESS: March 23rd, 2025
RSS Security is still up in the air as to whether they will be in business come showtime. Vini has been exploring alternative options.
Raffle tickets are available for the members to sell. Please bring the money to the next meeting.
Flyers are also available. Please hang anywhere allowed.
NEW BUSINESS:
The two guests at our Nov. meeting, Jen and Jack Trembley, were unanimously voted in.
The floor was opened for a 2nd nomination for officers. There were no new nominations added. As duty of the treasurer, Vini cast a unanimous ballot for all uncontested offices and swearing in will take place during the January meeting.
A Christmas card was passed around for signing for Dave Knepper who has been unable to attend meetings.
The club website is up to date.
Santa (Harry) and Vic motioned and seconded to adjourn the meeting.
Door prizes were drawn, and the annual Christmas halves were passed out to members. A potluck dinner followed.
